TAV Airports Holding’s Q1 operating profitability hits record high

TAV Airports Holding Inc. (ISE: TAVHL, “TAV”) increased consolidated revenue by 27% and doubled operating profitability in €.

As per 2011 first quarter financial results, TAV Airports surpassed estimates in revenue and operating profit. TAV attained €177 million consolidated revenue, marking 27% increase and operating profitability (EBITDA) increased by 100% in the first quarter of 2011.

TAV Airports Holding Inc. President & CEO M. Sani Şener commented, “As TAV Airports we have increased our consolidated revenue to €177 million marking 27% increase. Likewise, consolidated EBITDA grew by 100% compared to last year.” Şener also stated, “Although the first quarter corresponds to the lowest season in aviation, we have got favorable results indicating the high performance and the increasing operational efficiency of TAV.”

Şener remarked “As TAV, we are paying high attention to scientific facts, data, and events since we claim that ‘if you deeply understand and effectively manage scientific facts, data, and events, then you can decipher the behavior of the passenger’. Considering the financial results of TAV, it is obvious that we have managed smart and healthy growth. I would like to thank all TAV Group employees, our investors, and customers.”

TAV Airports served 10.1 million passengers -which was 9.4 in the same period of 2010- in the first quarter of 2011 at 10 airports in Turkey and abroad.
